Clyde's at The Jenny Boyd Theatre
The hardest thing on the menu is starting over. Lynn Nottage's Clyde's comes to The Jenny Boyd Theatre in Knoxville on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 7:30 PM. Nottage is a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, and Clyde's earned a Tony nomination before becoming one of the most-produced plays in America. The story that finds humor, hope and unexpected pride in the routines of toasting bread and swirling sauces. Director Katie Lupica leads the production, with a run time of 100 minutes and no intermission to interrupt the rhythm of the kitchen.
This is a play for anyone who's watched someone fight to start over, or fought that battle themselves. Bring a friend who understands how fragile hope can be, or a partner willing to sit with a story that earns its moments of grace.
