The Great Gatsby - Theatrical Production

The Great Gatsby - Theatrical Production at Tennessee Theatre

Jay Gatsby throws the parties. Daisy Buchanan breaks his heart. Nick Carraway watches it all unfold. The Great Gatsby comes to Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at 8:00 PM. F. Scott Fitzgerald's story of wealth, longing and tragedy becomes a live musical experience that brings the Roaring Twenties to the stage. If you've ever chased something just out of reach, this production gives that feeling a voice.

This Tony Award-winning musical pairs Marc Bruni's direction with choreography by Dominique Kelley and a jazz- and pop-influenced score by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen. The music captures the extravagance of Gatsby's world and the emptiness behind it. Live theater lets you feel the tension between ambition and loss in ways a novel can't deliver. You're not reading about the green light across the bay; you're watching someone reach for it.

Invite someone who appreciates a night out that calls for more than jeans. A friend who knows the book. A partner who enjoys musicals. A December Saturday at Tennessee Theatre gives you a reason to make plans and put something elegant on the calendar before the year ends.

Give yourself a reason to get dressed up and go. Find ticket options for The Great Gatsby in Knoxville and plan a theater night that stays with you.
