Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet at Tennessee Theatre

Clara's dream begins with a gift and unfolds into a winter fantasy. Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet arrives at Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville on Tuesday, December 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM, bringing Tchaikovsky's score and the Christmas story to families looking for a holiday tradition. If the music belongs to your December, here's your chance to see the transformation from parlor to Land of Sweets.

An international cast performs alongside whimsical puppetry and opulent costumes and sets hand-crafted by European artisans. The production values draw you into a world beyond everyday routine, where the Nutcracker Prince defeats the Mouse King and the Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes Clara. Tchaikovsky's timeless music sets the emotional foundation; the staging gives you something vivid to remember.

Bring the people who make your holidays meaningful. A grandparent who introduced you to the story. A child experiencing the ballet for the first time. A friend who loves the season's music and pageantry. Sharing the experience creates a memory that outlasts the performance itself and gives you something to look forward to together.
