Knoxville Symphony Orchestra: Masterworks

Knoxville Symphony Orchestra: Masterworks at Tennessee Theatre

What happens when three Romantic masters share a program? The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra brings Wagner, Korngold and Tchaikovsky to Tennessee Theatre on Friday, February 12, 2027, at 7:30 PM. Music Director Aram Demirjian leads an evening that traces passion, drama and lyricism across nearly a century of orchestral history. For listeners who want music that sweeps them away, this is the night to hear it performed live.

Violinist Bella Hristova returns to Knoxville as soloist for Korngold's Violin Concerto, one of the composer's best-known concert works. Hristova's previous appearances with the orchestra give longtime ticket holders a reason to follow her back. The program opens with music from Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, an opera Demirjian describes as one of the most influential scores ever written, and closes with Tchaikovsky's Suite from Swan Lake, bringing some of the ballet's most memorable music to the stage.

Bring someone who appreciates bold melodies and orchestral color. A friend who shares your taste in Romantic composers. A partner you'd enjoy sitting beside during music that rewards close listening. Choosing the concert together gives you both something specific to look forward to and a reason to make Friday evening about live performance.
