About The Mill & Mine
The Mill & Mine is a concert hall and private-event venue on West Depot Avenue, one block north of Knoxville’s Old City and across from the Southern Railway Station. Touring artists and themed music nights use an indoor stage with a standing audience area. An outdoor courtyard, private suites and event facilities allow the building to serve a different role for weddings and other private functions. Concertgoers should follow the performance’s admission details rather than expecting the seating shown in a private-event photograph.

Plan Your Visit to The Mill & Mine
Is this a seated concert venue?
Concerts are standing-room only unless the event page says otherwise. The venue advertises room for up to 1,200 concertgoers, but a private reception or seated function can use a different arrangement. The outdoor courtyard is part of the venue’s facilities, not a promise of a seat or stage view for every ticket.
Where is the entrance and where can I park?
Use 227 West Depot Avenue for the venue address. The Mill & Mine identifies street parking along Depot Avenue and surrounding streets, as well as the public lot beneath I-40 at East Magnolia Avenue and Williams Street. Its visitor guidance describes that lot as a short walk from the building.
Do not use the Blue Slip Winery and Southern Railway parking lot: the venue warns that its gate can be locked before concertgoers return. A nearby lot is not necessarily available for concert parking simply because it is close to the entrance.
Can I arrange seating assistance?
The venue identifies an ADA section and asks guests who need seating accommodations to speak with staff on arrival. Contact the venue beforehand if standing throughout a concert would be difficult, so the team can discuss what is appropriate for that event. The general-inquiries address is info@themillandmine.com.
Are there age or identification requirements?
Read the age designation on the ticketing page. Unless the event states otherwise, guests younger than 18 may enter an 18-and-over show with a parent or legal guardian. Everyone 18 or older must show valid photo identification. An all-ages performance and an adult-only event should not be treated as interchangeable.
Large backpacks, bags and oversized purses are prohibited, as are outside food, drinks and weapons. Security may inspect guests and belongings. Cameras with detachable lenses and professional recording equipment require advance approval; artist restrictions can be tighter.
Are food and drinks available?
Concert service includes a bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, plus snacks or lighter food. The published FAQ lists cash and major cards, while the Old City offers additional meal options before the show. The venue’s contact page separates concert questions from private-event inquiries, which helps visitors reach the right team.
There is no regular physical box office. The published will-call arrangement begins an hour before doors on event day, so distinguish the door time from the performance time when planning an arrival.
The Mill & Mine FAQs
Does a general-admission ticket include a chair?
Normally no. Concerts are standing-room only unless the event says otherwise; contact staff about an accommodation.
Can I park at the Southern Railway Station?
The venue specifically warns against the Blue Slip Winery and Southern Railway lot because its gate can close.
Can a teenager attend?
Use the show’s age restriction. Some 18-and-over events allow a younger guest with a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise stated.
Is a wedding photograph the concert layout?
No. The building is reconfigured for private events, while most concerts use a standing audience area.
