About Knoxville Civic Coliseum
Knoxville Civic Coliseum is the arena portion of the Civic Auditorium and Coliseum complex on Howard Baker Jr. Avenue. Home to Knoxville Ice Bears hockey, it also accommodates touring concerts, ice shows and other large indoor events. The complex opened in 1961 and includes a separate theatre-style auditorium. A Coliseum ticket should therefore be matched to the arena entrance and seating plan, even when another performance is taking place at the same street address.

Plan Your Visit to Knoxville Civic Coliseum
Which seating plan applies to my event?
The complex advertises the Coliseum at a capacity of 6,500, with a floor that can serve different event uses. Hockey, a concert stage and an ice production do not necessarily offer the same seats or viewing angles. Use the event-specific arena map and the section, row and seat on your ticket.
Where can I park at the complex?
KCAC has three dedicated parking garages with approximately 2,500 spaces. The current parking page lists standard event parking at $20 and Ice Bears or Knoxville Symphony Orchestra parking at $15, with rates subject to change. Parking is cashless and the venue identifies major credit cards as accepted payment.
UT football park-and-ride uses a separate rate and operating arrangement. A shuttle product for Neyland Stadium is not the same as ordinary parking for a performance at KCAC. Check the intended event before purchasing a pass.
Is the seating area accessible by elevator?
Elevators serve all floors of the Coliseum. Accessible wheelchair and companion seating is available, and the venue asks guests to arrange accommodations in advance. Select the required location when buying rather than assuming any arena seat can be reached without steps.
Assisted listening devices can be requested from the box office or guest-services staff. Interpretation requires advance coordination; the detailed policy asks for at least 14 business days. Contact KCAC early enough to identify the supported date and seating area.
What are the entry and bag rules?
The complex operates a clear-bag policy and subjects belongings to inspection. Backpacks, outside food, bottles or cans, weapons and noisemakers are among the prohibited items. Read the posted bag guidance before leaving home; a regular backpack should not be treated as an approved event bag.
Doors generally open an hour before the scheduled event. KCAC does not permit guests to leave and re-enter once admitted. Photography restrictions can depend on the production, and concert rules can differ from sporting-event rules.
Where can I get help inside?
First-aid offices are located in the auditorium and Coliseum lobbies; ask guest services for assistance. The Coliseum lobby also houses the box office, whose published regular sales hours are Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Event-day arrangements may differ.
