Three Dog Night

Three Dog Night at Tennessee Theatre

Twenty-one consecutive Top 40 hits. Three vocalists. One signature sound. Three Dog Night comes to Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville on Friday, December 4, 2026, at 8:00 PM. If you grew up hearing Joy to the World, Mama Told Me (Not to Come), or One on the radio, this is your chance to hear the band that made those songs part of American culture.

Danny Hutton conceived the group in 1968 around a distinctive idea: three strong lead vocalists who could also blend in three-part harmony, backed by four skilled instrumentalists. That self-contained approach became the foundation of the band's studio work and live performances. For listeners drawn to vocal precision and memorable arrangements, the appeal is hearing how the voices interact when the band is in front of you.

A Friday night at Tennessee Theatre gives you a reason to invite someone who shares your taste in classic rock. A friend who introduced you to the band's catalog. A partner who appreciates tight harmonies and a long chart history. Choosing the show together puts a music night on your calendar with someone you'd enjoy beside you.

Let the songs you already know make the decision. Find ticket options for Three Dog Night in Knoxville and plan an evening around a sound that's been around for six decades.
