Knoxville Symphony Orchestra: How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Knoxville Symphony Orchestra: How The Grinch Stole Christmas at Knoxville Civic Auditorium
The Grinch's heart grows three sizes. The Whos sing in Whoville. And this time, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra supplies the sound. How the Grinch Stole Christmas Film + Orchestra comes to Knoxville Civic Auditorium on Sunday, November 29, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Watch the 2000 Jim Carrey film on screen while musicians perform James Horner’s score live. If Dr. Seuss shaped your childhood or your children's, here's a reason to revisit the story together.
A film-with-orchestra performance changes what you expect from a screening. The orchestra performs the score in synchronization with the film. Horner's score supports Carrey's comedic performance and the visual design of Whoville. Hearing that music performed live gives you a different relationship to a movie you may have watched many times.
This is the kind of outing that works for families looking to start a holiday tradition. A grandparent who loves the orchestra and a middle-schooler who loves the movie can both find something to enjoy. Choose the afternoon with your own household in mind, and give everyone a reason to spend part of the weekend together.
Bring the people you'd like to share the season with. Explore ticket options for How the Grinch Stole Christmas Film + Orchestra in Knoxville and plan a November afternoon that pairs nostalgia with live music.
