Knoxville Jazz Orchestra: Bianchi Hamilton & Kovalcheck

Knoxville Jazz Orchestra: Bianchi Hamilton & Kovalcheck at Bijou Theatre - TN

Three soloists. A full big band. One night of improvisation you won't hear anywhere else. The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra welcomes Jeff Hamilton, Pat Bianchi and Steve Kovalcheck to the Bijou Theatre on Tuesday, March 2, 2027, at 8:00 PM. If you've been waiting for a reason to hear live jazz this winter, here's your chance to watch three accomplished players tangle with a full ensemble.

Drummer Jeff Hamilton has toured with Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and Ray Brown. Organist Pat Bianchi works the Hammond B-3, and guitarist Steve Kovalcheck rounds out the classic organ trio. Together, they explore the possibilities of that lineup before handing the conversation over to the big band. The appeal lies in watching skilled musicians respond to one another in real time, something a recording can't replicate.

A Tuesday night at the Bijou can be the excuse you've been looking for to gather with someone who values live performance. Invite a friend who appreciates improvisation. Share the evening with someone who remembers when organ trios ruled the jazz clubs. You don't need a special occasion. The music gives you a reason to put the date on your calendar and make the trip downtown.

Let the lineup make your decision easier. Explore ticket options for the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra and plan an evening of live jazz with someone who'll appreciate the chance to listen.
